Stress is not new, it has always been part of being human. Our ancient ancestors were stressed by trying not to be eaten by animals. At its most basic, stress comes from the “fight or flight” reaction to outside stimulus that is built into all of us. The difference is that, today, the stress is not generally from animals but from situations seemingly outside our control. And although there is much about life we cannot control, we can learn to manage our reactions to stressful situations.
This site’s aim is to help in that goal; to learn to recognize what causes our stress and how better to manage our reaction to it.
We hope you find it helpful.
